Harry, is a dog who hates to bathe.   It buried the bathing brush and ran away from home to play.   It got itself dirty and tired.  Upon returning home,it was surprised that it's owners could not recognise it.   It's last choice was to dug out the brush it buried and had a good bath in order for it's owners to recognise it.   We did a lapbook based on this literature this month.

Birthday party of Jonathan

Chen Chen received birthday party invitation from his classmate, Jonathan again this year.

Only 5 parents attended the party this year.    The other parents left their children at the party and fetched their children after the party ended.   The kids were playing in the pool most of the time.   All of them gathered in the function room only during cake cutting time.

Chen Chen hide behind the birthday boy and made rabbit years behind him.

Steamed salmon

Png Png loves to eat salmon.    Today, he requested me to steam salmon for his dinner.   I steamed a salmon for him in the shape of his favourite Minions as a surprise for him.   I was successful in my intention.   YAHOO!!!!!!

Bento for April 2014

I started making bento for Png Png since my parents left for cruise trip.   Png Png loves the bento and requested me to continue to make bento for him.    Chen Chen started to request for bento as well.   Actually I made bento for Chen Chen when he was in primary one.    However, he asked me to stop making bento as the taste of the food changed and probably tasted bad since I made it at 6+am before I left for work.   He only ate the food in the bento in the mid afternoon during recess.

I was cracking my head hard the night before what can I make out of the ciabatta Png Png chose. I asked my boys for suggestion. Chen Chen suggested dragon fly. Png Png suggested carrot. I decided on carrot since this bento was meant for Png Png.  My inspiration came when I was choosing the right shape to make a carrot. I liked this shape the most out of the 6 ciabatta in the packet. But this shape can't make a carrot. Then I thought of making a ribbon.   As I was trying to make a ribbon, I felt that it fitted better as a butterfly.

Life as a stay at home mom

My parents, brother and sister in law went for cruise holiday since 6  April.    I became a full time stay at home mom since I left my job.

Being a stay at home mom is very fulfilling though very busy.   I was always on the move.    I woke up at 5am to clean the house.   Then made bento and prepared breakfast for Png Png.   After he had his breakfast, I sent him to Carpe Diem.    Finally, I had some time to rest and took my breakfast while surfing the net at the same time.    I cooked lunch for Chen Chen before going to school to fetch him. Coaching time followed by dinner preparation.    Then it was time to fetch Png Png home.   Coaching time again after Png Png had his dinner.    This is the overview of my life as a stay at home mom.

Exotic Turkey at Changi Airport

There was a Turkish fair in Changi Airport Terminal 3 from 14 March to 13 April 2014.   

There were exhibits of Turkish crafts, Turkish supplies, Trojan Horse

Children got to redeem 15 minutes play with a minimum spent of $30 receipt for the day.    As my parents and brother booked a cruise package with Seiki Travel at Terminal 3, we could redeem many play sessions for the 2 boys.   However, they only managed to play once or twice for the three times we were there as there were one or two sessions left for the day.   We managed to redeem 5 play sessions (maximum allowed for a day) the last time we were there.   However, Png Png had allergy reaction.    We had to leave earlier and forgo the other 3 sessions we booked.

There was nothing much for the play.    Only a simple fishing game and horse riding.   My boys enjoyed the horse riding.

There was a hot air balloon.   My boys happily went in to pose for picture taking.  

There were Turkish tea and Turkish dessert for tasting.   Chen Chen enjoyed eating the dessert.    It looked too sweet for my liking.   I gave it a miss.
