Fishing pond at Pasir Ris

Fishing pond at Pasir Ris Town Park was closed and changed to a new operator.   The fishing pond was re-opened on 1 Aug 2014.   

On 31 Jul, the fishing pond was opened for free fishing.    Png Png requested hubby to bring him to the pond for fishing.    They went there for prawning instead.   Prawning didn't come free.  It costs $18 per hour.   

They caught 2 prawns in the end.   I didn't expect Png Png to have the patience and interest for prawning.

The next day, they were there for prawning again.   The operator could recognise Png Png.   Probably, he was the youngest angler at the pond thus far.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs is an American tell tale written by Judi Barrett.   The story was about a town called ChewanSwallow, whereby the sky rained food 3 times a day.   The residents need not buy or sell food.   Life was beautiful and wonderful till mother nature got sick and cooked up a storm of food.   The residents had to leave ChewanSwallow to another town where they had to work to buy food.   The absurdity and craziness in this story definitely bring joy to readers and stimulate imagination.

Playground at residential area

There was a playground at the center of the car park at our place.    However, it was old and dirty.   My boys didn't play there though they love to play at playground.   That playground was being rounded up recently for renovation.   Png Png played at the playground on a Sunday morning shortly after the playground was opened after the renovation.

Car show at Singapore Expo

There was a car show at Singapore Expo.   We were there for a look.   There were freebies  like biscuits, chips, milk, coffee, etc but they were not as much as last year's car show.   The attraction for my 2 boys is the diving game.    There was a a queue of children and adults for the game.   

Unfortunately, Png Png was not qualified to take part in the game due to height limit.   His legs were not long enough to step on the paddle.    Chen Chen had the chance to play the game while Png Png looked at Chen Chen drove.
