Interesting book by Dr Suses - One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.   Both Png Png and Chen Chen love the funny write up in this story book.   Png Png even borrowed "Wet Pet, Dry Pet, Your Pet, My Pet" which is another version of this story book in touch and feel version

Among the additional books that we read for this lapbook, I like this book Fish from Sesame Street.   It teaches the facts about fish at kid's level.



Lovely pool

Before we miss this lovely pool, we captured our happy moments there.

Homework time

Chen Chen likes to play games in hubby's iphone.   He always shows it to Png Png.   Png Png got influenced by Chen Chen and wants to play the games in iphone as well.   Hubby told them that they are allowed to play games in iphone only after they have completed their studies.

Png Png automatically requested for handwriting whenever he wants to play games in iphone.  

A birthday invitation

Chen Chen was very delighted when he came home with a birthday invitation from his classmate Jonathan.   It was the first invitation he received from his classmate.  

We were there just in time for lunch as Chen Chen had keyboard lesson at 10:30am and I had to do grocery shopping at Giant supermarket.   By the time we got there, the pool and table soccer games were over.   Chen Chen was very upset over that.

The birthday boy Jonathan.   Most of his invited guests are boys.   The only two girls are his sister and cousin.

Jonathan is a Kung Fu Panda fan.

After cake cutting, the kids had a dip in the pool.    Chen Chen did not bring swimming costume.  We told him to bring his costume but he didn't want to.  He regretted when he saw all his friends in the pool.   I called hubby to bring Chen Chen's swimming costume here so that he could join in the fun.

The energetic boys ran and played around the pool after the swim.   It was a great opportunity to attend this party as I made friend with Chen Chen's classmate Marcus's mom Catherine.....networking.

Clean water Science

Chen Chen likes to buy Science experiment toy.  This year he bought Clean Water Science from school.

My little scientist

He told me can get filtered water at home using this.   The problem I faced was he wasted a lot of water and got the sand, gravel and carbon all over the house and basin.

Pineapple rice

My boys love to eat pineapple rice.   They always request me to cook pineapple rice with lots of pineapple.   I bought pineapple rice sauce to cook the pineapple rice.   Easy peasy

Help out with house chore

I wanted to train my boys to help out with house chore so that the house chore will be shared out and it also trains my boys about responsibility.
Png Png helped to clean the floor before we go back to my parents' house.

Studio photography

I bought Groupon for studio photography from White Cottage.   The studio is located at Keong Saik Road in China Town.   If not for the photographer's direction, we won't be able to find the studio.  The studio is located on the 3rd level whereby the entrance looks like an old not functioning door.
Before we went up to the studio at level 3, there was lion dance performance on the ground level.  My boys were attracted to the lion dance performance.   I had to remind them our purpose here and that we can always see lion dance performance during Lunar New Year.

The studio is very small.   There are 2 rooms for photo shooting.   The Groupon package that I took included 5 edited digital shots.   We toped up $50 to get all the shots.

My 2 boys were not very cooperative.   The photographer tried very hard to coax them.   Could tell that he is not experienced in handling children.

 On the way back from the studio to the car park, the boys saw an indoor gym.  They played there despite light drizzling.
