Exotic Turkey at Changi Airport

There was a Turkish fair in Changi Airport Terminal 3 from 14 March to 13 April 2014.

There were exhibits of Turkish crafts, Turkish supplies, Trojan Horse

Children got to redeem 15 minutes play with a minimum spent of $30 receipt for the day.    As my parents and brother booked a cruise package with Seiki Travel at Terminal 3, we could redeem many play sessions for the 2 boys.   However, they only managed to play once or twice for the three times we were there as there were one or two sessions left for the day.   We managed to redeem 5 play sessions (maximum allowed for a day) the last time we were there.   However, Png Png had allergy reaction.    We had to leave earlier and forgo the other 3 sessions we booked.

There was nothing much for the play.    Only a simple fishing game and horse riding.   My boys enjoyed the horse riding.

There was a hot air balloon.   My boys happily went in to pose for picture taking.

There were Turkish tea and Turkish dessert for tasting.   Chen Chen enjoyed eating the dessert.    It looked too sweet for my liking.   I gave it a miss.

SpongeBob SquarePants in Changi Airport - the Bikini Bottom

SpongeBob’s underwater town, the Bikini Bottom, is transformed into a bouncy playground at Terminal 3’s Departure Hall Row 11.

The nine metre-high inflatable playground features a ball pit, maze and slide.   The first few times we were there, children below 1.2metre were allowed to slide down the slide.   Somehow, there was an accident whereby a girl injured her arm.   So, children below 1.2 metre were not allowed to slide down the slide from then on.   Png Png had the privilege to slide down the slide for our first few visits there.   Thereafter, poor Png Png can only watched Chen Chen slide down the slide.

Chen Chen and Png Png slided down the slide.

Png Png met his classmate, Eden when we were there on 1st December 2013, a day after the graduation concert.

Png Png was in a happy mood and posed for photo taking.

Earthquake at Earle Swensen

We visited Earle Swensen's at Changi Airport T3 again as a reward for Chen Chen being promoted from Enrichment Chinese to Higher Chinese in primary 4.    He wanted to order Earthquake.

Luckily there is a kid's size Earthquake.   He finished it on his own without help.   I had a normal size Earthquake many years back but I couldn't finish it.    I was sad but to see the ice cream melting away.

SpongeBob SquarePants in Changi Airport - Pineapple House and Log House

This is the  festive time of the year when Changi Airport brings in famous cartoon characters to attract the kids aka attract crowds to Changi Aiport.    What's up this year?   Angry birds had been on the stage for 2 years.   Not Angry Birds anymore.    It's SpongeBob SquarePants!

SpongeBob SquarePants and his Pineapple House was in Changi Airport from 15 November 2013 to 5 January 2014.   The giant 11 meter tall Pineapple House was located before Departure Immigration at Terminal 3.    There were seven shows daily at 1pm, 3pm, and hourly from 5pm to 9pm.   During show time, there were smoke bubbles blowing out from the Pineapple House.     The smoke bubbles didn't pop easily like the normal soap bubbles.

Besides the smoke bubbles, visitors could get ping pong ball which flowed down from a pipe next to the Pineapple House.   Each visitor was entitled to one ping pong ball.    With the ping pong ball, visitors could exchange a ping pong ball for a chance to spin the lucky wheel.  The lucky draw gifts consisted of stickers, slap watch, mask and water bottle.   We got many stickers and a SpongeBob bottle.

There was a Father Christmas log house next to the Pineapple House.   Inside the log house, there were treasures of toys like my favourite giant polar bear, mechanical toy train, vintage propeller plane and hot air balloon.

The giant polar boy was gigantic.  Boy, it was bigger than Png Png.

Png Png loves stamping postcards and posting the postcard to Father Christmas in the mail room.

Riding on the Santa’s sleigh.

There were many Christmas trees on the other side of the log house.
Png Png and Eugene H. Krabs.
It's a shame that I did not manage to snap many photos inside SpongeBob's bedroom, the log house and the pineapple house.    As evident in the picture, the little one was not very happy to be my model and there were too many a crowd to capture nice shots and running around with 2 little active boys at the same time.

There were Evil Space Pigs and Angry Space Birds on the table for children to look at when painting on the clock or tote bag.

It is very rare that my 2 boys posed in front of camera willingly.

The tote bag and clock were fully redeemed fast.   We went there twice and they were fully redeemed.   So, the third and fourth time, we went there before the redemption counter opened.   We managed to redeem 2 tote bags and 2 clocks.
