Home learning - Mrs Wishy Washy

I had a hard time looking for the story book Mrs Wishy Washy.   It is only available in Ang Mo Kio library.   It was loaned out a few times when I was at Ang Mo Kio library, yet I could not find the story book when it was in the library.   I decided to seek the librarian for help.   One very kind librarian helped me to seek high and low for the book but still to no avail.   She said the book is probably kept in the office as it is a very old book.   The library keeps very old books in the office and will be removed from the shelf for public.   She helped me to seek the supervisor's help.   True enough, the book was in the office.   She said she searched the book till she wanted to cry and her colleagues blamed her for being nosy.  I am very grateful for her dedication and help.   She is one dedicated librarian hard to come by.

I also used Mrs Wishy Washy's farm for this lapbook.

Pyjamas

Png Png loves this pyjamas very much.  He requested to wear it though the pyjamas is long sleeved and the weather is very warm.  This pyjamas was a hands me down from a friend.   Her hubby bought this pyjamas in Spain.

Rock star at Ikea

There was an event in Ikea for children.   I wasn't sure what was it about.   Think it was some rock music for kids.   Chen Chen garang garang  joined in the fun.

Walker

While shopping at Giant, Png Png saw a walker and wanted to sit in the walker.   Both my boys never used a walker.    So, it is something new to Png Png.   He probably thought it is a toy.

Angry Birds cable car ride

A member from Recycle forum offered free cable car ride ticket for children below 12 year old.   I asked for 2 tickets for my boys.

At the ticketing counter, I found out that the cable car ticket for an adult costs $29, family ticket for 2 adults and 1 child costs $55.   Of course I bought family ticket instead of using 2 free cable car ride child tickets.  It is more worth it to get family ticket.   Besides cheaper price in total, every ticket purchase comes with a complimentary Angry Birds face mask and cocktail drink in collectible Angry Birds cup

There was full range of Angry Birds stuffed toys sold in the souvenir shop next to the cable car station.

There are Angry Birds interactive game booths but they were closed when we got there.   So, we took photos of the Angry Birds motif there
Angry Birds cable car which is just for show, not for visitor ride as the whole cable car is wrapped up with the Angry Birds picture.
We boarded this cable car

Beautiful sceneries

We reached Sentosa early.   So,  we took our own sweet time to take our bread dinner before exploring the way to our next destination.
Our next destination was Resorts World Sentosa Waterfront to watch The Crane Dance.   This is the main purpose of this trip.   Though we were early, the audience seats were almost fully occupied.   Had we know about the situation, we would have taken dinner here at the audience seats.    Luckily we managed to find empty space comfortably sufficient for the 4 of us.   However, Chen Chen kept shifting in to let other late comers in while hubby was away to get familiarized with the route back to the cable car station.  We ended up with space comfortable enough for 3.   We had to squeezed ourselves closed together to fit in hubby.

The Crane Dance tells the love story of a pair of mechanical cranes.   The graceful courtship dance of the pair of giant robot cranes is accompanied by colorful lights, water effect, pounding music and big TV screens with animation on the crane's body.   Their love for each other transforms them into real birds.

The performance took about 10 minutes and it ended with beautiful firework.
It was raining after the performance.    We had to rush to catch the last cable car trip back to Singapore island.
Chen Chen was glued to the game station after we exit from the cable car.
Another round of photo session in the toilet at The Jewel Box, this time round in the ladies

Goodbye diaper, Hello toilet bowl

Despite the unsucessful try in making Png Png to poo in toilet bowl last night. I persuaded him to try again tonight. Though there was still 1/2 pack of diaper left, I decided to try again before reaching the last piece of diaper. He shook his head. I try to calm his fear. I told him mommy is here to protect him. I will not let him fall into the toilet bowl (my guess of his fear of sitting on toilet bowl).

With the help of toilet seat adaptor for child and a stool, he sat on the toilet bowl more comfortably than last night at our own place whereby we don't have a toilet seat adaptor. I read story book "Bored Bill" to him, and fanned him cause he was sweating
